Untitled Road is a project group based in South Korea that has been creating various forms of game theatre since 2015.
By incorporating the diverse characteristics of games into our performances, we enable audiences to experience and contemplate the story in multiple ways. We develop applications using game engines or adopt board game formats, allowing audiences to immerse themselves in the narrative. Audiences engage with our works through apps, navigating multiple spaces and uncovering hidden stories.
Our works include Untitled Mountain (2015), Untitled Train (2016), Plug-In City (2017), and Index for Nils’ Adventure (2018).
In 2020, we recognized the seriousness of climate change and began the Moving a Forest series.
The greatest feature of games is that they motivate players to strive beyond their limits towards a goal. Players feel a sense of achievement as they overcome challenges and surpass their capabilities. Shouldn’t we apply these characteristics more actively to our performances to address the current climate crisis?
Our goal is to create performances that provide a platform for reflection and discussion about our daily environments and lifestyles. Our works are designed to foster a sense of community and shared responsibility towards our planet. We aim to offer experiences that are not only entertaining but also contribute to a more joyful and sustainable world.
